量子物理導論 (Introduction to Quantum Physics)

This course is to provide students some basic knowledge regarding to quantum physics.  It begins with experimental observations of “quantum phenomena” and followed by introduction of quantum mechanics.  The theory of atoms is then developed with emphasis on quantum-mechanical concepts.  Finally, the properties of chemical bonding are discussed and a brief introduction of band theory is given.

熱電材料 (Thermoelectric Materials)

This course is intended to provide students the basic theory and operation principles of thermoelectric materials.  First, the three thermoelectric effects and thermoelectric theoretical considerations will be introduced.  Next comes to a discussion of thermoelectric material development and thermoelectric characterization techniques.  Finally, thermoelectric applications on power generation and refrigeration will also be introduced.
奈微米機電系統 (Nano/micro Electromechanical Systems)

The objective of this course is to provide students fundamental knowledge about Nano- and Microelectromechanical systems.  The design process, fabrication techniques and potential applications for NEMS and MEMS will be covered.
結晶繞射概論 (Introduction to Crystal Structure and Diffraction Theories)

The purpose of this course is to provide students fundamental knowledge of essential crystallography and X-ray diffraction theory.  The experimental techniques of  X-ray diffraction and their applications in determination of crystal structure, lattice parameters, chemical compositions and residual stress will also be covered.
材料動力學 (Kinetics of Materials)

The purpose of this course is to provide students fundamental knowledge of essential kinetics of various material systems. The subjects covered are (1) Diffusion; (2) Chemical reactions; (3) Phase transformations.
材料科學與工程-1 (Materials Science and Engineering -1)

The purpose of this course is to provide first-year engineering students fundamental knowledge of materials science and engineering.
