      The International Union of Materials Research Societies (IUMRS) holds an annual international conference in Asia (ICA). This year (2011) the conference will be held at the Nangang Exhibition Hall, Taipei World Trade Center, from 19th to 22nd of September, 2011. In conjunction with this conference, the Annual Meeting of Materials Research Society of Taiwan (MRS–T) will be organized concurrently. This year’s IUMRS-ICA conference is therefore an important and much anticipated event both locally and internationally. International conference participants from countries including Japan, Korea, China and Singapore etc. are expected. The purpose of the conference is to bring together academics, students, researchers and engineers, who are actively engaged in materials research and development, to discuss the current progresses in all aspects of materials science and engineering. The number of participants is estimated to be more than 1500 people based on previous years' experiences.


      For the abovementioned initiative, we would like to invite your organization cordially to participate in this year’s IUMRS-ICA conference. This will be an excellent opportunity to promote the image of your organization and showcase your latest products and/or services. Several participation schemes are available; they include sponsorship of the conference, setting up an exhibition booth, and advertisement in the conference program.
