Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport Taipei

  1. By taxi:

    Taxis are available at Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport 24 hours a day. Taxi queues are outside the Arrival Centers of both terminals. To ensure the safety of passengers, only the taxis approved by the Aviation Police Bureau are permitted to operate in Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport. Taxi fare is based on the meter plus a 50% surcharge (highway tolls not included). A typical taxi fare to Taipei downtown is around NT$1,100 (~36 USD). The trip takes 40~60 mins (depends on your destination). Tip is not required for taxi ride in Taiwan.




  1. By shuttle bus to Taiwan High-Speed Rail (HSR):

    HSR is a high-speed rail network that runs along the west coast of Taiwan. The platform of the shuttle bus to HSR Taoyuan Station is in Arrival Greeting Center of Terminal 1 or Terminal 2. The bus ticket is sold in U-BUS counter. The fare of the bus is NT$30 (~1 USD) and the trip to HSR Taoyuan Station takes 15~20 mins. This service is available from 6:30AM to 22:30PM. The bus runs every 10~15 mins.

 

Once you arrive at the HSR Taoyuan Station, the HSR ticket can be purchased in HSR Taoyuan Station. The fare of HSR (to Taipei) is NT$160 (~5 USD) and the trip takes 20 mins. This service is available from 7:00AM to 23:30PM. The train runs about every 30 mins.HSR ends at the HSR Taipei Station. Taxi or the Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) can be taken from here to hotels or the conference site. The typical taxi fare for rides within Taipei is within NT$100-300 (~3-10 USD). There are MRT terminals at the HSR Taipei station. Taking MRT is an economical way for traveling in Taipei. Tickets can be purchased from ticket machines in MRT stations. For more information about MRT, please see “Local Information” section below.

 


  1. By regular bus and then transfer to Mass Rapid Transit (MRT):

    You can take the regular shuttle bus from Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport to Taipei downtown and transfer MRT system or taxi in Taipei.

    The bus platform locates on the southwest side of the arrival passenger reception area of Terminal 1 and it locates on the northeast side of the arrival passenger reception area of Terminal 2. For airport shuttle buses to Taipei, there are two main transport stations of MRT. The information of shuttle buses is listed below:
    1. MRT Taipei Main Station
      MRT blue line (to Nangang, Tucheng, Banqiao) and red line (to Danshui, Xindian; Beitou, Zhonghe) pass through this station.

      To reach this station, you can take either of the following two bus lines at the Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport:
      1. Kuo-Kuang Bus No. 1819: The fare of the bus is NT$125 (~4 USD) and the trip takes 55 mins.
      2. Toward You Bus No. 2061: The fare of the bus is NT$90 (~3 USD) and the trip takes 70~90 mins.
    1. MRT Zhongxiao Fuxing Station
      MRT brown line (Wenshan, Neihu) and blue line (Nangang, Tucheng, Banqiao) pass through this station.

      To reach this station, you can take either of the following three bus lines at the Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport:
      1. Toward You Bus No. 2060: The fare of the bus is NT$145 (~5 USD) and the trip takes 60~70 mins.
      2. Evergreen Bus. No. 5201: The fare of the bus is NT$150 (~5 USD) and the trip takes 50~60 mins.
      3. Free Go Bus No. 5502: The fare of the bus is NT$140 (~5 USD) and the trip takes 60 mins.

Taipei Songshan Airport Taipei

There is a transport station, MRT Songshan Airport Station, in Taipei Songshan Airport. You can transfer MRT here to go to the hotel, Nangang Exhibition Center or anywhere you want to visit in Taipei. For more information about MRT, please see “Local Information” section below.

Taxi can also be used from this airport to your hotels or the conference site. The typical taxi fare for rides within Taipei is within NT$100-300 (~3-10 USD). There are MRT terminals at the HSR Taipei station. Taking MRT is an economical way for traveling in Taipei. Tip is not required for taxi ride in Taiwan.

 

 

Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport Nangang Exhibition Center
If you want to go to the Nangang Exhibition Center from Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport directly, you can take shuttle bus, Kuo-Kuang Bus 1843. The fare of the bus is NT$115 (~4 USD) and the trip takes 80 mins. The bus platform locates on the southwest side of the arrival passenger reception area of Terminal 1 and it locates on the northeast side of the arrival passenger reception area of Terminal 2.

 


 

Local Information


Nangang Exhibition Center
Nangang Exhibition Center is close to MRT Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center Station. It is convenient to take MRT Wenshan-Neihu (Brown) Line or the Nangang-Banqiao-Tucheng (Blue) Line.

 

Mass Rapid Transit (MRT)
The Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) is a rapid transit system serving metropolitan Taipei. The system consists of 89 stations and 100.8 km of revenue track currently.

For attendees of this conference, the most useful MRT lines are the Wenshan-Neihu (Brown) Line and the Nangang-Banqiao-Tucheng (Blue) Line. We suggest you to choose hotels near the MRT stations of blue line or brown line. You can take either of them directly to Nangang Exhibition Center. The service is available from 6:00 to 24:00. For blue line, the train runs every 3~4 mins (6 mins after 23:00). For brown line, the train runs every 3~5 mins (12 mins after 23:00). Tickets can be purchased from ticket machines in MRT stations. The fare is based on the trip distance and starts at NT$20.
