Symposium F5. Material Technology for Integrated Passive/activeComponents

Recently requirements of functional components from automobile and 3C industries have induced several important designs of electronic components and devices. Ceramic passive components integrated with active parts will play important roles to fulfill the needs. New aspects on material processing techniques, materials design and the methodology to integrate various components are emerging. The research and development only based on the fundamentals of materials is not enough, and needs the knowledge from other fields. The followings topics are a few examples which are able to support the future needs of integration of passive/active components.

Topics of the symposium

• Stringent electronic applications for automobile and 3C products
• New processes of electronic materials;
• Component integration;
• Processing of precision patterns;
• Theory and simulation of devices;
• Advanced property measurements;

Abstracts should be submitted electronically through website of IUMRS-ICA 2011, and questions and inquiries should be sent to the symposium organizers.
